The inaugural SixFour3 Championship Cup Series tipped off earlier this year, and by all accounts, was a monster success. It was a small test for us to see if this is something we want to continue year-over-year. The answer is a resounding, “YES”… We will be working on a multi-tournament cup series (“Quest for the Cup”) for the the 2019/2020 season and will be making those announcements later this year. Make sure you follow us on Facebook for more updates.
As far as this year is concerned, we want to once again congratulate our champions:
SixFour3 Championship Cup Series
March 23rd & 24th
Potomac Lakes Sterling VA
We are thrilled to bring you the inaugural SixFour3 softball tournament, sanctioned by NSA Softball. An early spring tournament scheduled for March 23rd & 24th, and the first tournament available in the Northern VA area. It will be classified as an Open tournament and we will offer 10U, 12U and 14U age groups. To register, click one of the links below and for more tournament info, see below.
What better way to kickoff your season than to join SixFour3 in our inaugural tournament. As is typical with the SixFour3 approach, we will try and do things just a little different than the norm in an effort to create a recurring tournament event that will be highly competitive and fun. A few of the highlights are outlined below...
In the first of many annual events to come, teams will be chasing for the (soon-to-be coveted) SixFour3 Championship Cup. Winning teams and player names will be engraved on the cup trophy, which will be on display at a SixFour3 facility for all to see.
This first event will only be open to a total of 24 teams (across multiple age groups) and will be a single-elimination tournament with a 4-game guarantee. All games will be played at Potomac Lakes in Sterling, VA (w/ live video streaming), with bracket game times starting no earlier than 9AM.
All age division champions will receive a lightweight hoodie commemorating their championship cup victory. We will size each player and coach of the championship teams and will deliver the custom hoodies after the tournament.
After each game, coaches will be responsible for determining an MVP for the opposing team (criteria to be provided). At the conclusion of the tournament, all game MVP’s will be entered into a drawing for a DeMarini, Louisville Slugger OR Easton Ghost bat, to be awarded to a sole winner. Multiple MVP awards means multiple drawing entries.
All teams/coaches will automatically be registered in a drawing for a BOWNET Commander Travel Bag.
We will be hosting a Cup Series 50/50 raffle to help benefit a softball-focused non-profit or charity (final recipient TBD). Raffle tickets will be available for purchase through the duration of the tournament, with the drawing to be held just before the final championship games. One lucky winner will walk away with 50% of the pot, while the remaining 50% will be used to help support a softball-based organization.
We will have a photographer on-site for pre-game team pictures and live action photos (to be posted on our tournament website). Additionally, we will have a #sf3poweredbygirls selfie station for participants to take (and post) fun pics with their friends and teammates.
This tournament will be limited to 24 teams total across 10U, 12U and 14U. As of 3/1 there are only 6 spots remaining across the three divisions. Some have asked if we can help speed up the NSA sanctioning process - the answer is YES, we can. Just email us at email@example.com.
